“I have a 10 year old son who is an avid reader!! He loves books, (but he’s picky too) he loved Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. He was so excited to read the 2nd book in this series! When I presented him the first book he was not sure he would like it but changed his mind quickly, then when I heard about the 2nd book being released he almost jumped out of his chair! (no exaggeration) He is anxiously awaiting the 3rd book! I would say that any child who enjoys fantasy/adventure books should read this series! It is a well written page turner! It’s a fun story that adults can even enjoy the storyline without getting bored! According to my son, ‘every kid should read this series’. ” ~ 5-Star review from SavyGreenSaver, Amazon “I loved this book, even as an adult reading it. I was completely sucked into the plot and was constantly finding myself staying up “just a little longer” to read one more chapter. Different twists and turns in the book have you constantly guessing who is behind what and who Zak and Zoe can trust. I could definitely see myself being involved in this series as a middle schooler considering how much I enjoyed it even now. Another thing I liked about it is if you missed the first book, you could still follow along with this one and not be lost.” ~ 5-Star review from Staci, Amazon “Lars Guignard has done a fabulous job with this series. I loved the `Ghost Leopard’ & love this one even more. For late-elementary to middle school age readers, you can’t beat this series. It’s fun and fast-paced. Even my picky fifth grader enjoyed every page. There are bits of magic thrown in keep the action exciting. Mr. Guignard has a brilliant imagination & readers are blessed that he’s chosen to use it for YA fiction. If you’ve yet to read the first installment in this series, do yourself a favor and read these books back to back. Don’t limit it just to kids! Adults will have a blast reading these too!” ~ 5-Star review from Liz Terek, Amazon

“WARNING!!! It's the best!”

I hope that Lars Guignard! Makes more to come! I think that it is the best for other kids that love fantasy book's !! Hope you love it too!!

“Great Book for Tweens”

My 10 year old grand daughter loved this book. She could hardly put it down. She hopes it turns into a series.

“Read this!”

I thought it was very interesting and also very funny. Me and my brother both really enjoyed it. Compared to other books I've read, it had way more details and I liked how it was in India because I've never been there. The yogi way was cool. I will read it a second time for sure.

“An Exciting Adventure!”

I would highly recommend this fast-paced page turner for all kids who like stories that feature magic, mystery, and adventure in an exotic location. Guignard's vivid descriptions of India -- both the chaotic city scenes and the trip through the majestic Himalayas -- bring the beauty of the country alive to young readers. His main characters, Zoe and Zac, are appealing and well drawn. It's fun to watch this pair of unlikely allies form a friendship as they race against time to rescue a supernatural creature from a villain out of ancient Indian mythology -- and discover their own hidden potential in the process.

“Zoe and Zak’s adventures are so entertaining I love listening to them. . . . Like his other books Guignard does a wonderful job of interspersing the adventure with a lot of interesting history and facts, and he does it in a way that does not seem like learning. I think this is a great series and continue to love that it is set in India, which allows for an explosion of cultural information and history to be provided to young readers.” – Read more at Cover2Cover Blog

5/20/14:

“In this third installment of the series there is a depressed magic carpet, a new rich kid with maids and trunks galore, a science fair, & a massive downhill bike ride and some serious rides through the mountain hills. Surly, one cannot be sure what will be had when you enter into a Zoe & Zak adventure. Anything goes with the magical hills of India With that being so there were chuckles and laughs in between the inner shouts for them to watch out for what is lurking under the water.” – Read more at MadSteam

5/21/14:

The narrator was freaking awesome. . . . Not only was the narration clear and audible, but she did the voices! Gotta do the voices. She did accents and she did kid voices and she did adult voices and she even did animal voices. Yes, animals! She rocked this book all over the universe and I seriously look forward to listening to the other books now just to hear her do what she does again. . . . The plot was fun and imaginative. . . . I really liked how Guignard made the plot move, as in, he never stayed in one place. The characters were always going on adventures and racing to save the day, and that made the book really enjoyable.” Read more at DJ’s Book Corner

“I loved Zoe and Zak as characters because they embodied everything we wished we were as kids. They were living out the fantasy and the adventure I could only have dreamed about when I was their age. That’s not to say that both Zoe and Zak don’t deal with some issues all of us can relate to, such as bullying, embarrassment, and the joys of success. . . . Overall I HIGHLY recommend this book! Not just for your child but for yourself as well! It doesn’t matter what age you are, we can all take something away from Zoe and Zak. I know it left me wanting to be more brave and adventurous! It also teaches us the meaning and value of friendship and that is something we all need to remember. So buy yourself a copy, sit outside, and prepare yourself for a magnificent, magical adventure!” Read more at The Cozy Corner

“It really is a series that anyone can enjoy. It would be a great series for the whole family to listen to while traveling on vacation or lounging around during the summer. The narrator, Sonja Field, is fantastic! She has given Zak, Zoe, and all the other characters of this fantastic series distinct personalities and brings the amazing setting that Lars Guignard has created to life. If this book was a movie I would imagine it to be like Jumanji with the level of adventure and story telling that is delivered.” Read more at Gin’s Book Notes

[Zoe & Zak and] The Tiger Temple is the third installment in the Zoe & Zak Adventures series and is an exceptional MG adventure novel! With great character development, detailed Indian culture and amazing visual graphics, it is one of my favorite Middle Grade series that I’ve read. … Audiobook Notes: Sonja Field has done it again! She is so perfect with the characters and the flow of the novel, I tend to forget that it’s only one person who’s narrating and not a whole lot of people doing different voices.” Read more at Spiced Latte Reads

“Holy India is right! This is a great Middle Grade magical fantasy series, one I really enjoy on audio. … I absolutely recommend this series. I have not read the books, but I think I would miss the voices and the descriptions if I didn’t listen to the audiobooks. There are some books that just should be listened to as an audio book. I believe this series is one of them.” Read more at Buried in Books
